PrintShop Web 2.1 Update Summary

PrintShop Web 2.1 is now available! You will find below a summary of the features included in this version.

New Features:

PrintShop Mail Version 6 support

PrintShop Mail 6 can now publish documents to PrintShop Web 2.1.

Set number of copies for N-up documents

This is useful for multi-up applications, for example business cards and invitations. It allows web users to upload a database containing names and the amount of ordered stock per person.

Preview single layouts for N-up documents

PDF softproofs are now rendered per layout for N-Up documents.

Watermark Support

PDF softproofs may contain watermarks, or they can be protected against printing

Overprinting on pre-printed material

It is now possible to omit background pages to be printed from softproof. Although the complete documents, including background PDF pages are shown at softproof, PrintShop Web 2.1 can omit background PDFs from printing. This is useful to prevent printing of documents in softproof mode or to allow printing on pre-printed stock.

Other New Features:

MIS integration

PrintShop Web 2.1 comes with a generic MIS integration connector that allows order information to be pushed to MIS system using an XML format. An optional MIS connector pack is being developed, with 2 connectors for MIS systems on the Dutch market. Additional connectors can be developed upon request.

Web site Integration

PrintShop Web can be completely branded (skinned) and seamlessly integrated with your existing web front end.

Interface Improvements

The PrintShop Web 2.1 interface has been reviewed to ensure maximal workflow intuitiveness and user friendliness.

Output history improvements

The output history has been improved to retrieve and represent the history of placed orders in a faster and more detailed fashion.
